Bring on the cooking any day of the week, but to me nothing holds a candle next to a 1-2-3 dessert! You ask what is a 1-2-3 treat? I am talking 3-ingredients with 3-steps. Hello Fourth Of July!! I saw this recipe on my Pinterest and tweaked it a little because I am not so fond of lemon cake. However, feel free to use whatever cake flavor you like. I did a yogurt pound cake, but I am sure chocolate or angel food cake is just as scrumptious.

Ingredients
-
1 pound cake (any grocery brand should do)
-
2 crates of strawberries (as nice and red as possible)
-
1 cup white chocolate chips or white chocolate melting pieces
Directions
1.) Cut stems off of strawberries and halve them if need to in order to create uniform sizes. Cut pound cake into 2-inch cubes.
2.) Take skewer and alternate strawberries and pound cake. (I like to do four of each per stick)
3.) In a glass bowl melt chocolate in the microwave for about two minutes stirring every every 30 seconds. Once fully melted, insert it into a large plastic bag and cut off the corner tip. Drizzle all over kabobs and place in fridge to set.

This dessert was a HIT!!! I used plain pound cake and everyone loved it! I think it would be great with a flavored cake as well.
I agree! Maybe chocolate? What a wonderful summer dessert and could not be easier! Glad you enjoyed.
Making these today but adding blue food coloring to chocholate to put the blue in my red, white & blue dessert! Can’t wait should look great!!
That is a wonderful idea! How did it come out? Please share. Warmest, Nic
I use blueberries to give it a little pop of blue.
