Tasty Tip Of the Week - I know the rage of the moment is coconut water, but after researching all of the awesome benefits of Coconut Oil …my sister, Kelli, and I wanted to see what all of the hype is about.  

Our first trial was a Summer Smoothie!  We blended 1/2 cup of the Almond Breeze Milk (used above) with 1 container of low-fat plain Stonyfield Organic Yogurt, 2-3 tablespoons of Coconut Oil & 1/2 cup each frozen strawberries and frozen mango (skip the ice cubes when using frozen fruits.)   The Coconut oil gave it refreshing “pop” and added a level of richness to the drink!  As you know Smoothies are to “taste” so definitely use whatever fruit that floats your boat.

 As a side note, you can also bake, use in pancakes and spread Coconut oil on toast with some honey & cinnamon for a treat! 

Our second experiment is to see how Coconut Oil benefits our skin & hair. (As per my research, it has shown to help treat eczema, delay wrinkles & can be used as a super penetrating Moisterizer for the SKIN! 

 As for hair it contributes to growth and shine!!)  I can’t wait to let you know my results…PLEASE let me know yours :-)
